Travel Is Never Out Of Style
As travel continues to evolve, one thing is clear: travelers are dreaming bigger, traveling smarter, and looking for experiences that feel more personal than ever. From once-in-a-lifetime adventures to thoughtfully paced itineraries and emerging destinations, travel advisors are seeing firsthand how priorities are shifting this year.
To get a pulse on what’s trending—and what trips they’re most excited to plan—we sat down with our team to talk about the journeys topping their wish lists, the requests filling their inboxes, and how travel in the year ahead is shaping up.
First things first—meet the team. Leading the way is Emily Webber, CEO and Founder of We Travel Luxe. Emily is passionate about experience-driven travel, with a special focus on family trips and immersive journeys that create lasting memories.
Amy Cochran is the detail-driven force behind the scenes. As the technical expert of the group, she thrives on organization and loves helping clients save time while turning travel dreams into seamless, stress-free experiences.
Rounding out the team is Megan Presley, the newest member of We Travel Luxe. Megan believes that luxury means something different to every traveler—and she’s dedicated to designing trips that reflect each client’s personal definition of what luxury truly looks like.
Q1: What destinations or types of trips are you most excited to book this year?
EW: We’re seeing a lot of momentum around African safaris, Thailand and Japan, and luxury cruises—and I’m very excited to keep planning these itineraries.
AC: Italy will always be a favorite, but I’m especially excited about thoughtfully paced journeys through Europe and Africa that blend culture, food, and downtime. Fewer stops equal better experiences.
MP: I am excited to continue planning honeymoons for my clients. I love the excitement that leads up to these trips – and I feel honored to be part of such a monumental time for couples. Additionally, I have been addicted to all things France lately. There is so much more to that country than I ever imagined. Eager to book even more trips there!
Q2: What travel trends are you seeing clients ask for more often?
EW: Luxury cruising in Europe is especially appealing—you only unpack once and still enjoy a truly luxurious experience. I’m also seeing a growing trend toward multi-generational trips in places like Tuscany, where families stay in villas, take day trips, and end the day with a private chef cooking dinner for everyone.
AC: Milestone birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, multi-generational trips, and “we’ve waited long enough” vacations are driving larger, more meaningful journeys. I’m also seeing increased interest in shoulder-season travel, especially from empty nesters and retirees who want to avoid peak crowds and pricing without sacrificing weather or experience.
MP: Boutique hotels! I love finding new ones in every city that give the same (or even better) level of hospitality as the big guys.
Q3: What kind of traveler do you think this year is shaping up for?
EW: The slow traveler who wants to enjoy a location for longer. They want to feel more like a local by staying in one location longer.
AC: This is the year of the intentional traveler who values a true luxury vacation. Seamless transfers, luggage assistance, smart routing, and on-the-ground support matter more than ever. Ease and flow are part of the luxury travel experience.
MP: I think people are wanting to travel MORE for LESS. I see my clients wanting to take more time and take multiple trips throughout the year versus one big trip.
Q4: One trip you personally want to plan (or take) this year?
EW: Dying to get to New Zealand this year!
AC: Japan is high on my list, both to plan more of for clients and to experience personally. The hospitality, design-forward hotels, and food culture are unmatched.
MP: I’m planning on heading to the west coast of Mexico this spring and staying at Four Seasons Tamarindo. I couldn’t be more excited to see this incredible new property.
Q5: Any advice for travelers planning their next big trip?
EW: Start early so you can get the hotels you prefer. Plan your budget so your travel advisor knows how to plan. Be very clear with your advisor what you are hoping to see and do while you are traveling.
AC: Start earlier than you think, prioritize the hotels and experiences that matter most to you, and don’t try to do it all. The best trips leave room to truly enjoy where you are.
MP: I know I’m biased, but always book a trip with multiple layers with an advisor. The internet is oversaturated with information about different destinations, tours and hotels. It’s impossible for a traveler to know what is best, but advisors make it their JOB to know. We weed out the bad and the viral TikToks for you. Oh, and always book the refundable options.
